Compuesto como parte de la banda sonora de la película inglesa "Soft Top Hard Shoulder" fue incluído posteriormente en el disco "God's Great Banana Skin".

Con aires claramente norteafricanos, Chris Rea busca nuevos caminos con este tema, y otros más del mismo disco con influencias distintas como el jazz, pausado y maravilloso

Con una carrera llena de altibajos debido seguramente al empeño del autor de preservar sus ideas ante las de las discográficas, Chris Rea siempre ha mantenido un nivel altísimo sin que ello haya supuesto el éxito a nivel popular. Consumado guitarrista y blusero de sangre ha conseguido sus mayores éxitos curiosamente cuando se ha inmerso en mundos más comerciales. "On the beach", un temazo, fue seguramente su mayor éxito, refrendado por su siguiente álbum "Dancing with Strangers", alejados del blues y más cercanos al público comercial.

Pero si uno quiere conocer lo que este hombre lleva de verdad dentro ha de escuchar "The blue jukebox", una auténtica gozada de buena música entre el blues y el jazz, o su posterior trabajo monumental con 137 canciones propias "Blue Guitars".
